After being linked with Maximilian Mittelstädt for the first time last winter, Werder Bremen are still monitoring the Hertha BSC left-back, according to Bild.
Although Mittelstädt only signed a new contract with Hertha until 2027 in January, a move away from the club is not out of the question should they be relegated.
According to Bild, the 27-year-old has a relegation release clause of just €3 million in his contract.
With two games left to play this season, Hertha are bottom of the table, five points behind Schalke 04 in the relegation play-off spot.
