Borussia Dortmund host Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Topspiel on Saturday evening as they look to put an end to Bayern Munich’s dominance in the Bundesliga.
One point currently separates leaders Bayern and BVB but that could be four by the time BVB host Gladbach.
Coming into this game, Edin Terzic has a full strength squad available. Only Jamie Bynoe-Gittens- who won’t play again this season due to an operation on the Englishman’s shoulder – is the noticeable absentee.
Kicker suggests that Borussia Dortmund will make one change from last weekend’s 6-0 win against Wolfsburg. Raphaël Guerreiro, who has 12 assists in the Bundesliga this season, is expected to replace Marius Wolf which means that Julian Ryerson will switch to right-back.
Other than that, Terzic is expected to name the same players with Youssoufa Moukoko, Gio Reyna and Marco Reus all attacking options from the bench.
Hummels, Ryerson, Reus and Anthony Modeste each have four yellow cards and picking up their fifth today will mean a suspension against Augsburg next weekend.
Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Borussia Mönchengladbach
Gregor Kobel – Julian Ryerson, Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Raphaël Guerreiro – Emre Can, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt – Donyell Malen, Karim Adeyemi, Sébastien Haller.
