Füllkrug ruled out of Leipzig clash, Veljkovic a doubt

Niclas Füllkrug will miss Werder’s game against RB Leipzig, while Milos Veljkovic is a doubt.

Werder Bremen will once again be without Niclas Füllkrug when they visit RB Leipzig on Sunday.

The Bundesliga’s top scorer remains sidelined with the calf problem that has kept him out of the last four matches.

“Niclas Füllkrug is still out, as are Dikeni Salifou and Felix Agu,” said Werder coach Ole Werner at today’s pre-match press conference.

After confirming earlier today that Amos Pieper will miss the rest of the season, Werder are sweating over the fitness of another centre-back.

“Milos Veljkovic is doubtful. He has a groin problem and couldn’t train with the team today,” said the Werder coach.
