Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Amine Adli this summer.
The young winger’s reputation has increased in the last two years since joining the German club from Toulouse in 2021.
He has made 68 senior appearances for Leverkusen, bagging 10 goals and 10 assists.
The 23-year-old’s performances have caught the attention of several top European clubs including Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Arsenal.
The Guardian are reporting Newcastle are also eyeing a move for Adli in the summer transfer window.
The winger is currently under contract at Leverkusen until June 2026. Leverkusen are reluctant to part company with the player and only a fee over £30 million could convince them to let him leave.
Newcastle have made huge progress this season under Eddie Howe. They are now on the cusp of securing Champions League football next season after a spectacular 2022-23 campaign.
The Magpies fell to a disappointing 2-0 loss at Arsenal last weekend, but they are still in a strong position for a top-four finish with just seven points required from their final four games.
They are looking to improve their attacking options this summer as they prepare to play in the Champions League next season.
Allan Saint-Maximin’s future at St James’ Park is uncertain and he could leave at the end of this campaign.
Adli is a highly talented forward who has shown a lot of progress in the last two years at Leverkusen.
He could be tempted to join the Tyneside club, who are an exciting destination for players now.
