SportBild reports that Daniel Farke will continue as Borussia Mönchengladbach coach past the end of the season, despite the club’s poor season.
It has been identified that the current poor season is due to the players and not Farke, which is something the senior players at the club have realised as the current crop lacks hunger and speed.
There are critics within the team as well with the players unhappy about long video sessions and the fact that Farke encourages youth players but very rarely uses them.
Gladbach currently sits 10th in the Bundesliga and have only won twice in the last 10 games beating Wolfsburg and Bochum. Die Fohlen had started the season strongly with the aim of qualifying for Europe but since mid-October, the club has been in decline.
There is set to be a rebuild this summer at Gladbach with Ramy Bensebaini, Marcus Thuram and Lars Stindl all leaving the club while Lukas Ullrich and Julian Weigl are already confirmed to join the club.
