Following his ejection on a straight red in Saturday’s league fixture, the German FA confirmed a two-match-ban for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim defender Stanley Nsoki on Tuesday.

French defender Stanley Nsoki will only be available to Hoffenheim once again on the final matchday of the current campaign. Ejected on a straight red during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, the 24-year-old will have to sit out the two upcoming matches against VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Union Berlin. The two-match-ban was confirmed by the DFB on Tuesday.
Nsoki – a €12 million signing from Club Brugge last summer – has made just 12 league starts for his new German club this year. The start against Frankfurt, brought on by an injury to Kevin Vogt and an accumulated yellow suspension for Kevin Akpoguma, was the Frenchman’s first since matchday 20.
Akpoguma returns from suspension next week and can easily slot back in to TSG head-coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s back-three. Nsoki was shown a straight red by match official Harm Osmers on Saturday for a dangerous high boot to the face of SGE attacker Paxten Aaronson.
