Despite scoring twice against Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund striker Karim Adeyemi wasn’t completely satisfied.

Karim Adeyemi admitted he was “very upset” that he didn’t score a hat-trick in Borussia Dortmund’s 6-0 win over Wolfsburg.
After scoring a brace, Adeyemi had the chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot, but couldn’t convert his effort and was substituted shortly afterwards, looking visibly dejected.
“First of all, it’s about the team and we won. But I was very upset for myself that I couldn’t score a third goal,” Adeyemi admitted, as quoted by Kicker.
Dortmund coach Edin Terzic was full of praise for Adeyemi despite the missed penalty.
“If you saw Karim today, he had maybe 50 or 100 actions and 49 or 99 of them were positive. Maybe he wanted to score a third goal a little bit too much. But the rest was extraordinary. Not just his goals, but the way he accelerates, how difficult it is to defend him one-on-one. That’s what we want to see from him and then we forgive him for the penalty kick,” said Terzic.
