According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have matched Liverpool’s desired transfer fee for Sadio Mané.
The 30-year-old will join the Bundesliga side subject to passing a medical which is expected to take place next week, per David Ornstein, before signing a three-year contract until 2025. Per Florian Plettenberg, Bayern will pay a reported fee just under €40m.
The final negotiations took place today in Manchester, Bayern Munich Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidžić met with Liverpool’s counterpart Julian Ward and Mané’s agent, Björn Bezemer
It’s long been documented that Mané wishes to head to Bayern this summer and they’re now one step closer to making it a reality. In previous weeks, the 30-year-old reached a verbal agreement to join the Bavarian club.
Mané has been at Liverpool since 2016 when he joined from Southampton. During this time, the forward has played 196 times and scored 90 goals for the club.
He has also won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup with the Reds.
