Tottenham Hotspur Offer A Swap Deal For This Everton Forward

In a recent report from Football.london, it is stated that Tottenham Hotspur have considered offering Harry Winks and Lucas Moura in a swap deal for Everton forward Richarlison De Andrade.

It has also been mentioned that Spurs do not want to pay a huge sum, and offering both their players would make the Toffees lessen the transfer fee as Richarlison is valued well over £50 million.

Richarlison’s Impressive Run Of Form For Everton This Season

Richarlison has experienced a solid campaign in the final third at Goodison Park, as he has managed to consistently perform for Everton this season. The 25-year-old has scored 11 goals and created 5 assists over 33 appearances across all fronts.

The Brazilian sensation has been reliable in the frontline, as evident by his numbers averaging 2.4 shots, 1.0 key passes, 1.3 tackles and 1.3 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he needs to work a lot upon distributing the ball to his teammates after completing only 63.4% of his attempted passes in the English top-flight (stats via whoscored).

Is Swapping Lucas Moura and Harry Winks For Richarlison A Good Move From Antonio Conte?

Richarlison has a solid presence in Everton’s frontline. Despite being a forward, he likes to put his foot into a tackle contributing heavily on the defensive end. He excels at creating space and can make some decent runs in the final third creating clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities.

However, offering Lucas Moura and Harry Winks, alongwith a transfer sum involved, isn’t a good deal to consider this summer. Richarlison could definitely add more goals to the match-day squad but with Harry Kane being the first choice, the Brazilian would probably act as a cover or look to feature in other forward positions competing with the likes of Dejan Kulsevki and Heung Min Son. He is no doubt versatile in the attacking end of the field but is poor in his link-up play. Getting the nod over Kulusevski, Son or Kane would turn out to be very difficult as they remain crucial in Conte’s starting XI.

Furthermore, at this point of his career, the Toffees star forward would rather be disappointed and unhappy with lesser game time. The Lilywhites should reconsider their proposal for luring him into North London. Antonio Conte would be wise to retain the services of Lucas Moura but could allow Winks to leave in exchange for Richarlison along with paying a decent transfer fee.
