Rodrigo Zalazar and Thomas Outwejan both want to leave Schalke 04 this summer, according to Sport Bild.

The duo have slipped down the pecking order at the Veltins-Arena and are reportedly frustrated with their lack of first-team opportunities.

For many of the current key players, their future at the Gelsenkirchen club is likely to depend on whether or not Schalke 04 manage to stay in the Bundesliga.

Moritz Jenz, who is on loan from Lorient with a €4 million option to buy, would certainly leave if the club were relegated. The same goes for Maya Yoshida.

On the positive side for Schalke, the contract of top scorer Marius Bülter has just been extended by a clause until 2025, according to the report.

However, Schalke may still have to fight to keep the 30-year-old, as he is said to have received inquiries from other clubs.
