Since arriving as Sporting Consultant at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, Luís Campos has created a new recruitment cell. Whilst the main aim is naturally to unearth the game’s brightest talents, the team must also do so discretely, so as not to alert teams to PSG’s presence, as revealed by L’Équipe.
Campos, a freelancer who also works for Celta Vigo, succeeded Leonardo at the Parc des Princes last summer. The Portuguese Consultant oversaw a transfer window during which Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Fabián Ruiz, Carlos Soler and Nordi Mukiele arrived at the club.
However, PSG, like any club, ar always on the lookout for fresh talent across the globe, despite the incredible Île-de-France talent pool. Campos has hired a Spanish and Portuguese recruiter, and have been instructed to be “as discrete as possible,” in the stadiums that they visit, according to L’Équipe. Les Parisiens don’t want other clubs to be aware of their presence.
