Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah has refused to commit to staying at the club beyond the summer amid a Bild report linking him with a move to West Ham.
“We’re in the semifinals of the Europa League, we have five Bundesliga games left, that’s my focus. Everything else we will see,” Tah was quoted as saying by Bild.
The Germany international has been in the news recently for changing his agent and stepping up his performances.
“If you are not developing, then something is wrong. I work very, very hard on myself, that’s always been the case. I put my foot down, which is something that maybe a lot of people don’t realize. Now I’m reaping the rewards,” said Tah.
Tah, 27, is under contract until 2025 and is said to have a release clause.
