Ligue 1 Results

Paris Saint-Germain took another step towards a record 11th league title, beating bottom-placed SCO Angers, whilst Marseille snatched a last-gasp winner at Lyon thanks to an own-goal from Chelsea loanee Malo Gusto.

Angers 1-2 PSG

A first-half brace from Kylian Mbappé was enough for the league leaders to gain all three points against the soon-to-be relegated Angers side. Despite an unconvincing display, PSG maintain an 8-point lead at the top.

Auxerre 1-1 Lille

Despite Jonathan David’s 19th league goal of the season, Les Dogues once again dropped points against a relegation-battling side. Paulo Fonseca’s side remain in fifth place.

Lens 3-0 Monaco

It was a statement win from the third-placed Artois side over Champions League hopefuls Monaco. Loïs Openda tormented Les Monégasques with a brace and an assist.

Reims 0-2 Strasbourg

A vital win for the Alsatians, who exited the 4-team drop zone. Habib Diallo scored both goals for Strasbourg. Will Still’s Reims have all but given up any hope of qualifying for any European competition.

Ajaccio 0-0 Brest

The Corsican side look set for a swift return to Ligue 2 after another toothless display, whilst 17th-placed Brest missed the opportunity to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Lorient 0-1 Toulouse

Toulouse have perfectly prepared their season-deciding Coupe de France final on Saturday with a deserved win away at Lorient. With 41 points, the Philippe Montanier-led side have all but confirmed their Ligue 1 status for next season.

Nantes 2-2 Troyes

The same can’t be said for fellow Coupe de France finalist Nantes. The Antoine Kombouaré-led side went 1-0 up and 2-1 down in injury time. Evann Guessand scored a VAR-confirmed 96th-minute equaliser to save Nantes’ blushes.

Nice 1-2 Clermont

Three days after their disappointing Europa League Conference exit, Les Aiglons’ wretched week ended with another defeat against a red-hot Clermont side. The Auvergne outfit had strung together a four-game winning run to retain their Ligue 1 status for next season.

Montpellier 1-0 Rennes

Despite being a man down with mercurial midfielder Téji Savanier sent off, Montpellier stunned Europa League hopeful Rennes with a late header from English striker Stephy Mavididi.

Lyon 1-2 Marseille

A 91st-minute Malo Gusto own goal gave Marseille the win over bitter rivals Lyon after Alexandre Lacazette had cancelled out Cengiz Ünder’s opener.
