Bayern Munich are willing to sell defender Chris Richards for around €15m, according to Sport1.
The 22-year-old has been on loan at Hoffenheim for the past year and a half and featured over 20 times in all competitions last season.
It’s reported that Hoffenheim would be interested in signing the United States international but it’s unsure whether the Bundesliga club could pay the asking price.
Hoffenheim would also face competition from Premier League clubs Southampton and Crystal Palace in the pursuit of the defender’s signature.
Richards first signed for Bayern back in 2019 where he mainly featured for the U23s in his first year. In 2020, he featured five times for the Bayern first team but failed to solidify a starting position. He moved to Hoffenheim on loan in 2021 and has since become a regular in the squad.
The defender is a clear example of young American prospects learning their trade in the Bundesliga and getting regular football in one of Europe’s top leagues.
