Bayer Leverkusen are “quite confident” that Patrik Schick will be able to play again this season, according to managing director for sport Simon Rolfes.
Long-term injured Patrik Schick should be able to play a role for Bayer Leverkusen before the end of the season.
The Czech star striker, who has been battling adductor problems for months, is working individually and making good progress, according to Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes.
“The load is being increased and he continues to be pain-free. He’s on a quite good path,” Rolfes told Kicker.
This means that 27-year-old Schick could return in May for the final part of the season.
“We are quite confident that this will be possible,” Rolfes said optimistically.
