Hasan Salihamidzic believes Bayern played well until the 70th minute in their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last night.

Bayern chief rules out January signings

Although Bayern Munich were thrashed 3-0 by Manchester City in the Champions League last night, the German champions’ board member for sport, Hasan Salihamidzic, wasn’t overly critical of the performance.

“We played well until the 70th minute, held our own and created some good chances. Spectacular goals like Rodri’s can happen, but we kept going, started the second half well and had chances,” Salihamidzic was quoted as saying by the club.

City’s 2-0 goal, scored in the 70th minute after an individual mistake by Dayot Upamecano, changed the dynamics of the game, according to the Bayern boss.

“Individual mistakes shouldn’t happen, but they do. They dominated the next 20 minutes. We played well from the back again, but we didn’t score,” he said.
