PSG to transfer list players depending on spring performances

After an unbeaten start to the league campaign in the autumn, Paris Saint-Germain now find their lead at the top of the table cut down to six points ahead of Lens and Marseille, having lost five times since the turn of the year.

Amid a growing backroom and on-pitch crisis – exacerbated by the Champions League and Coupe de France exits – manager Christophe Galtier’s future is under threat, but also that of the players in the PSG squad.

According to Le Parisien tonight, sporting advisor Luís Campos put out the message within the club that those who do not perform during the final nine games of the season will be transfer listed. The former Lille and Monaco director has explained that he will not differentiate between senior stars and younger talents, although several players will be safe no matter what – Kylian Mbappé, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Danilo Pereira, Marco Verratti.

Campos reportedly believes that by giving his players the ultimatum, they will have remotivate themselves to focus on the run-in. Specifically, several players appear to be on the list: Vitinha, Carlos Soler, Renato Sanches, Fabián Ruiz, Juan Bernat, Hugo Ekitike, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi. The latter two see their contracts expire this summer anyway, while Ekitike in particular is said to have interest from Germany, with his loan deal from Reims now set to become permanent.
