Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that young French talent Kiliann Sildillia is likely to extend with his current Bundesliga club rather than transfer to another. Keeper Mark Flekken, meanwhile, shall probably be permitted to leave.

Ongoing contract extension talks with right fullback/wingback Kiliann Sildillia and SC Freiburg have yielded good progress. This is according to Germany’s Kicker Magazine, which claims that the 20-year-old and the club are nearing an agreement. Kicker reports that a deal could be confirmed soon. The Breisgau placed club have evidently outpaced their competition.

In the case of the reported interest in current first-choice keeper Mark Flekken from London’s Brentford F.C., signs are pointing to a departure. Freiburg have already extended the contracts of back-ups Benjamin Uphoff and Noah Atubolu this year. Speaking to Kicker recently, SCF manager Klemens Hartenbach merely noted that the club hoped for “clarity” from the Dutch net-minder soon.

Freiburg’s plans for next season are falling into place at what one might consider a reasonable administrative pace. The club recently extended the contract of striker Luca Höler, in the process paving the way for center-forward Nils Petersen to announce his retirement. Hartenbach and his primary administrative parter Jochen Saier appear ahead of the game in their squad planning for next season.
