Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Hoffenheim are looking into the possibility of signing Wilfried Gnonto from FC Zürich.
Hoffenheim have opened talks to sign Italy and FC Zürich attacker Wilfried Gnonto, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Gnonto has been linked with a number of other clubs, including SC Freiburg, but Hoffenheim could have an advantage after recently appointing André Breitenreiter, who worked with the 18-year-old in Zürich last season, as their new coach.
Gnonto set up his side’s only goal as he made his senior international debut for Italy in a 1-1 draw against Germany earlier this month.
Playing against Germany against last night, Gnonto scored his first goal for Italy, but could do little to prevent a 5-2 defeat against Germany.
