As reported by SportBild, Jamal Musiala has returned to light training at Bayern Munich.
The 20-year-old was on the bench for Bayern Munich’s last Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen and was only introduced midway through the second half. The thigh muscle injury had also ruled him out of Germany’s friendlies against Peru and Belgium this March.
However, there is belief in the Bayern camp that the attacking midfielder will be fit enough to face Borussia Dortmund this Saturday, even if that is from the bench.
Musiala was pictured taking part in a 20-minute run with rehabilitation coach Thomas Wilhelmi at Bayern’s training ground. In addition to that, the youngster also tested his muscles by taking part in diagonal sprints.
With 15 goals and 12 assists to his name this season, it would be a massive boost for Bayern and new head coach Thomas Tuchel if Musiala is available for selection. Bayern host Borussia Dortmund this Saturday evening with BVB one point ahead of them in first.
