RB Salzburg right-back Amar Dedic has interest from top European clubs following a solid campaign for his side. According to Sport, Arsenal, Barcelona, and AC Milan are eyeing him.
The defender can play both left-back and right-back, showing his versatility. He has been a mainstay in Salzburg’s XI this season.
Dedic has helped Salzburg keep seven clean sheets in his 17 league appearances, assisting three goals. He kept one clean sheet in his six Champions League outings.
His performances have attracted the interest of European heavyweights. Barcelona sent scouts to the Bosnia and Herzegovina home game against Iceland on Thursday.
Dedic started as the right-wingback for the hosts. He also scored a goal and helped his side keep a clean sheet in their 3-0 win. The La Liga club will have been impressed.
Barcelona need a right-back, with central defenders Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo filling the spot. But the Catalans want a more attacking profile.
Sergino Dest is not in their plans. They will try to sell him this summer to raise funds, although they would struggle to find takers.
Dest is currently away on loan at Milan, and they do not plan on keeping the United States international. He has been disappointing in Milan.
The Rossoneri are looking for a new right-back/right-wing-back to sign in the summer transfer window. First-choice right-back Davide Calabria has struggled with injuries.
Premier League table-toppers Arsenal are also looking for a new right-back. Centre-back Ben White has been playing as a right-back for manager Mikel Arteta.
Second-choice right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu continues to suffer recurring injury issues. He is out until the end of the season following surgery on a knee injury he sustained during their Europa League exit against Sporting CP.
Dedic will reportedly cost any buyers around €10 million. The Austrian will likely be on the move this summer and have his pick of suitors.
