Fabrizio Romano reports that Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all monitoring in the situation of the 19-year-old. Jürgen Klopp is reportdly a big fan of Wirtz as well.
However, Wirtz is expected to stay at Leverkusen until at least 2024 as he wants to have the best chance at playing for Germany at the 2024 European Championships which is to be held in Germany. Despite his ligament injury, Wirtz signed a contract extension in the summer with Leverkusen taking his current deal to 2027.
Leverkusen will also want to keep Wirtz as it is possible that Jeremie Frimpong and Moussa Diaby could leave in the summer.
The 19-year-old only made his return at the beginning of the year from his cruciate ligament injury but in the 13 games he has played this year, he has assisted six times while also scoring twice as well.
