Bild reports that former Hamburg boss Markus Gisdol is a Plan B for Hertha Berlin if new investors 777 Partners wish to part with Sandro Schwarz.
Despite the 53-year-old being Plan B for Hertha, they have yet to contact the manager as they still trust Schwarz, who is also popular in Berlin due to his leadership and training.
777 Partners may want to protect their recent investment of €100 million and relegation would mean they would have to invest even more money and re-adjust their project timeline.
Hertha are currently 16th in the Bundesliga one point from safety and after the international break, they have a challenging set of games which could determine whether they find themselves in the automatic relegation spot, the playoff spot once again or safety.
At the weekend, Hertha lost to relegation rivals Hoffenheim 3-1. Andrej Kramaric scored two first-half penalties before Ihlas Bebou scored to make it 3-0 in the 51st minute. Stevan Jovetic scored a consolation goal for Hertha in the 92nd minute.
