Bayern Munich are preparing to launch a third offer for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, according to German news outlet Bild.
Per the report, the Bundesliga heavyweights are readying a deal worth £34.6 million for the Senegalese international after seeing their previous two offers turned down.
Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2016, Mane has been a mainstay in the Reds’ return to dominance, playing a crucial role in the attacking third of the pitch.
However, with just a year left on his current deal, the 30-year-old announced his decision to end his six-year stint with the Merseyside outfit.
After seeing their previous offers rebuffed by the Premier League club, the Bavarians hope the third time will be a charm as they prepare a fresh bid.
While the Athletic claim that Liverpool have slapped a £42.5m price tag on the ex-Southampton man, Bayern are reportedly preparing a £30.3m offer plus £4.3m in add-ons.
With Robert Lewandowski heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, Mane fits the bill at the Allianz Arena having established himself as one of the finest attacking talents in European football.
Mane, who played a crucial role in handing Senegal their first-ever AFCON title in February, matches the elite winning mentality at Bayern as he boasts Premier League, Champions League and Club World Cup titles.
The Liverpool forward’s arrival would mark Bayern’s third foray into the transfer market, following the arrivals of Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui from Eredivisie champions Ajax.
The 24-time Bundesliga champions are also preparing for a few departures. Austrian forward Marcel Sabitzer is reportedly keen on a move off the back of an uninspiring year at the club, while Marc Roca has agreed terms with Leeds United, according to Romano.
