Real Betis take on Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday and we take a look at Manuel Pellegrini’s possible starting line-up for the last-16 tie.
Centre-backs Germán Pezzella and Luiz Felipe will be suspended for the second leg next week if they pick up yellow cards at Old Trafford. In midfield, the double pivot is likely to be made up of Guido Rodríguez and William Carvalho.
Borja Iglesias is undoubtedly the centre forward at Old Trafford and behind him is where Sergio Canales is expected to return after injury, otherwise he could come on in the second half. Juanmi could come in on the left wing with Rodri also slotting in ahead of the midfield pair after his performance against Real Madrid.
Pellegrini could also start Ayoze Pérez, who knows United very well, Joaquín, a regular in the Europa League, or even Aitor Ruibal on the right flank.
Possible Real Betis XI vs Manchester United
According to Estadio Deportivo, the starting eleven that Pellegrini could opt for is as follows:
Rui Silva – Sabaly, Pezzella, Luiz Felipe, Miranda – Guido, William – Canales, Rodri, Juanmi – Borja Iglesias.
