Eintracht Frankfurt have suffered an injury blow in training, with Bild reporting that Jesper Lindstrøm had to be carried off the pitch.

Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jesper Lindstrøm suffered a potentially serious injury in training today, according to Bild.

The Danish international had to be carried off the pitch after injuring his ankle in a challenge with Hrvoje Smolcic, according to the report, which claims there are signs of ligament damage.

Lindstrøm, 23, has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances for Frankfurt this season.

The ‘Adler’ face Stuttgart in the Bundesliga this weekend before taking on Napoli in the Champions League a week from now.
