Marcus Thuram is widely expected to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.
But despite Thuram’s importance, ‘Die Fohlen’ apparently have no plans of signing a direct replacement for the French forward.
Instead, Alassane Pléa is in line to become the club’s new first-choice No. 9, with the club considering signing a young back-up striker, per Bild.
Thuram has found the net 11 times in 20 Bundesliga matches for Gladbach this season.
