Speaking to Bild, Roger Wittmann, agent of Nico Schulz, has confirmed that his client could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer but only if the club makes sense.
“Nico has not played, is dissatisfied with himself, is looking for a new sporting challenge and is very open to a change,” said Wittmann. “That’s how it is. If it doesn’t fit, you don’t appreciate yourself anymore but he won’t change just so he has changed. He will go to a good club and if that doesn’t work, then he stays.”
Schulz (29) has two years remaining on his Borussia Dortmund contract but would be allowed to leave the Bundesliga side should they receive a suitable offer.
The former Hoffenheim left-back has played just 832 minutes of Bundesliga football this season with BVB already planning for departures at left-back with Borna Sosa (Stuttgart) and Ian Maatsen (Chelsea) both linked.
Schulz joined Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for €25.5m.
