Roger Wittmann, advisor of Marcel Sabitzer and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, has confirmed that his clients will remain at Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Bild about Choupo-Moting and reports suggesting he will leave the Bundesliga side, Wittmann said: “These reports are far-fetched. There’s no reason to say or write that. He’s staying at Bayern. His situation has been clarified internally.”
Wittmann further added: “Sabitzer will stay at Bayern. He’s had a bad year. He came on the last day of the transfer window and was Julian Nagelsmann’s dream player but now was not his year. He’s set himself the task of correcting that.”
Choupo-Moting (33) is entering the final year of his contract but was recently linked with a move to Qatar whilst Sabitzer (28) was one of the names reportedly allowed to leave Bayern Munich should they receive a suitable offer.
Sabitzer failed to establish himself as a first team regular under Nagelsmann last season for various reasons, playing just 1,076 minutes across 32 games, scoring one and creating one.
