Barcelona boss insists Ansu Fati is not for sale amid interest from three Premier League clubs

Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has insisted Ansu Fati is not for sale amid interest from three Premier League clubs.

The 20-year-old made an excellent start to his career at the Camp Nou but has failed to maintain his levels in the last couple of seasons.

He is not a regular starter this season under the Spanish boss who prefers Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Gavi in attack.

Fati has made 20 La Liga appearances so far this term, with only seven starts to his name.

His lack of game time is fueling rumours the forward is unhappy at the Blaugrana and could be prepared to move elsewhere in the summer.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen to hire the services of the youngster.

The three Premier League clubs were given a boost after Barca president Joan Laporta refused to rule out the player’s exit

But Xavi has now confirmed that they have no intention of selling Fati. He said: “Ansu Fati is not for sale, as everyone else right now. It’s not time to speak about transfers”.

“I trust Ansu Fati for present and future, he’s our player”.

Fati is one of the best young players in the world. He has been struggling for regular football this season but he still has a lot of potential.

The 20-year-old mainly plays as a winger but he also be used to lead the line.

Barcelona are very unlikely to let go of their future star in the summer. But even if they change their mind, any English club will have to spend a prodigious transfer fee to land his services.
