As confirmed by Mainz coach Bo Svensson, Jonathan Burkardt will remain on the sidelines for the coming weeks.

Mainz 05 fans will have to wait a little longer before seeing Jonathan Burkardt back in action.
The 22-year-old is yet to make an appearance in 2023 after undergoing knee surgery and still requires a number of weeks to recover.
“It’s not quite moving as quickly as we first hoped with ‘Jonny’,” Mainz coach Bo Svensson revealed at a press conference today.
“He won’t be available over the next few weeks.”
Burkardt has scored a total of 18 goals in 93 matches for Mainz.
