Germany’s Kicker Magazine and tabloid “Sport Bild” now confirm one another’s reports with regard to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s next trainer. American head-coach Pellegrino Matarazzo will return to the Bundesliga, and the club at which his coaching career began, to lead the Kraichgauer out of the relegation fight.

Matarazzo has two plus Bundesliga seasons under his belt as the head-coach of VfB Stuttgart. He was released by the Swabians earlier this autumn, coaching his final fixture on matchday nine. The New Jersey native’s return to the top-flight was only considered a matter of time by most German footballing observers.
