Manchester City are the main club interested in signing Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka at the Etihad Stadium, transfer insider Dean Jones has suggested to GiveMeSport.
Pep Guardiola will be looking at identifying long-term targets as he aims to continue his current success with the Cityzens.

Man City transfer news – Bukayo Saka
According to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs, who was writing in his CaughtOffside column, Manchester City “really like” Saka but it is thought that it will be difficult to acquire the winger at the time of writing, with the Arsenal star more likely to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The journalist went on to state that the 21-year-old “loves” his current club and team, saying: “Saka loves Arsenal and the team are flying right now, so the only thought at the moment is about staying at Arsenal and the talks are progressing.”
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport last month that conversations are ongoing over a new contract for Saka at the Emirates Stadium, with his current £70,000-per-week deal set to expire in the summer of 2024.
But Jones says that City are the “main club” interested in signing the Arsenal star, though also goes on to suggest that any club in the world would be interested in signing the £97m-rated star in his current form.
What has Jones said about Man City and Saka?
Jones told GiveMeSport: “Man City are the main club that I’ve heard would be interested in signing Saka. Any club in the world is going to want Saka, especially when he’s showing form like this.”
Would Saka be a good signing for Man City?
Saka – who alongside teammate Gabriel Martinelli has been described as “relentless” by pundit Danny Murphy – would likely be an excellent addition to Guardiola’s squad at the Etihad Stadium in the future.
The 24-cap England international has made 20 Premier League appearances for the north London outfit this term, hitting the back of the net seven times whilst providing the same amount of assists, showing that he is capable of being a very productive player in front of goal.
An average WhoScored rating of 7.38 for his displays in the top flight ranks the attacker as Arteta’s fourth-best-performing player this season, showing how critical he is to the league leaders’ chances of success.
And the London-born star compares favourably to his positional peers, ranking in the top 9% of attacking midfielders/wingers across Europe’s big five leagues as well as the Champions League and Europa League for touches in the opposition’s penalty area (6.37) and top 13% for shot-creating actions per 90 minutes (4.88) over the last 365 days, according to FBref.
Therefore, a move for Saka would look to be a fantastic transfer for Manchester City, but a transfer fee upwards of £100m would have to be expected to convince Arsenal to part ways with their academy product.
