Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes believes Kerem Demirbay is yet to live up to his full potential at BayArena.

Kerem Demirbay has struggled to nail down a starting berth following his €32 million switch from Hoffenheim in 2019.
According to Bayer 04 managing director for sport Simon Rolfes, the 29-year-old still hasn’t lived up to his potential for the club.
“He has had good phases and is involved in goals, but hasn’t consistently fulfilled his potential so far,” Rolfes said in a recent interview with Kicker.
“I’m convinced more is possible with his technical qualities.”
Demirbay has been limited to just 10 minutes of football in 2023 so far.
