Yesterday, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will be out for three weeks due to a thigh injury, meaning he’s set to miss the French capital club’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie against Bayern Munich on February 14.
However, when asked about Mbappé’s injury at a press conference today, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said he still expects the 24-year-old to play.
“I don’t believe he will miss the game. I expect him to play. I don’t know what injury he has, but the statement on PSG’s website is pretty vague,” Nagelsmann said.
“If there’s no real structural injury, I can’t really see him not playing against us,” he added.
Bayern face Wolfsburg and Bochum in the Bundesliga before their game in Paris later this month.
