Chelsea could “let go” of Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth told GIVEMESPORT.
Ziyech, who pockets £100,000 a week at Chelsea, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and Sheth believes he could be allowed to leave the club this month.
Chelsea transfer news – Hakim Ziyech
According to Sky Sports, Ziyech is on struggling Everton’s radar, amid links with a January move.
The side in the Premier League relegation zone are reportedly putting together a bid worth £25 million for Ziyech, as a replacement for the departing Anthony Gordon.
It comes after weeks of speculation surrounding Ziyech’s future, with the Moroccan international a rumoured Newcastle United target.
CBS reporter Ben Jacobs recently told GMS that the Magpies were sniffing around Ziyech, with the view towards a permanent move.
While it appears Newcastle have focused their attentions elsewhere, suggestions that Ziyech could depart the club before the January window shuts still remain.
What has Dharmesh Sheth said about Ziyech leaving Chelsea?
At just 29 years old, Ziyech has plenty of years still ahead of him, by Sky Sports reporter Sheth told GMS in an interview there is potential for the forward to leave Chelsea this month.
On the World Cup star, Sheth said: “Now if they’re looking at someone like Malo Gusto, I just wonder if it will be Hakim Ziyech who will be the one they’ll let go.
“Because he can play in that right wing-back position, but predominately he’s in the forward line and they are buying forwards like they’re going out of fashion.”
What can Ziyech offer his next club after Chelsea?
As displayed at the recent World Cup, Ziyech still possesses plenty of quality and would prove an astute piece of business for whatever club he signs for.
In Qatar, Ziyech posted an average WhoScored rating of 6.88, as he shone for the Morocco side that became the first-ever African team to reach the last four of a World Cup.
A tricky operator, Ziyech offers plenty of danger going forwards, with FBref ranking the 29-year-old inside the top 12 per cent of wingers for shots per 90 minutes.
According to the online database, the Chelsea man averages at least three shots per game, indicating he’s a constant threat in and around the penalty area.
However, converting those chances into goals has been an issue for Ziyech, as he’s managed zero goals from 15 Chelsea appearances so far this season (Transfermarkt).
