Tottenham Hotspur are expected to complete the signing of Pedro Porro ‘very soon’ after the Sporting star made it clear he wants to seal a switch to Hotspur Way, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport.
Having secured the loan arrival of Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal on Wednesday, Spurs head coach Antonio Conte appears to be on verge of bolstering his squad further.

Tottenham transfer news – Pedro Porro
According to Romano, Tottenham are in the final stages of negotiations after it has become clear they can pay the £40million release clause written into Porro’s Sporting contract in up to four instalments.
The respected Italian journalist suggests personal terms will not be an issue as the right-back has already agreed a five-year contract in north London.
Tottenham and Sporting held a new round of talks on Thursday and there is growing confidence that Porro’s move could be rubber-stamped within the next 48 hours.
Reliable journalist Rudy Galetti recently told GiveMeSport that the 23-year-old had been identified as Tottenham’s priority target ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline.
Tottenham have refused to give up in their pursuit of Porro despite Sporting rejecting a £32.5million bid, while Chelsea have also threatened to hijack the move.
What has Fabrizio Romano said about Porro?
Romano understands that Tottenham have had to dig deep in order to reach this stage of negotiations, with Sporting being desperate to keep Porro on their books.
But, with the former Girona man being keen to complete the move, the transfer guru is expecting the deal to go through.
Romano told GiveMeSport: “It was not an easy negotiation because Sporting really wanted to keep the player, but Pedro Porro wanted to go to Tottenham.
“The contract is ready, so they’re just waiting for the final steps of this deal. My feeling is that it will be done very soon.”

What would Porro add to Tottenham’s squad?
Porro may be a right-back by trade, but he is clearly a threat in the final third of the pitch as he has found the back of the net 16 times and registered a further 24 assists over the course of his senior club career, according to Transfermarkt.
Fourteen of those goal contributions have come in the current campaign and his underlying numbers are favourable when compared to current Tottenham stars Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty.
FBref statistics show Porro has averaged more goals, assists and shots per 90 minutes since the season got underway, so he would be expected to become Conte’s first-choice right wing-back with immediate effect.
The Spaniard was handed a 9.6 match rating by Sofascore when Sporting overcame Vizela recently, having got his name on the scoresheet, played eight key passes and won three ground duels.
Porro’s arrival could allow Djed Spence to go out on loan, with the likes of Leicester City, Brentford and Crystal Palace being keen, and Tottenham seem to be in the process of pulling off a coup signing.
