Ryan Gravenberch will not leave Bayern Munich on loan this winter, as reported by Florian Plettenberg.
It was recently reported that the 20-year-old could leave Bavaria on a loan deal this January in order to seek more playing time. One of the possible destinations for the Dutch international was Premier League side Liverpool who lack young central midfielders right now.
However, Bayern still believe in their young talent and want him to continue to develop within the club. Earlier in this season, Gravenberch admitted to being disappointed over the lack of playing team he has had under Julian Nagelsmann. This also had an effect on the youngster’s international career, as he hasn’t been able to force his way back into the Netherlands’ starting 11.
So far this season, Gravenberch has only started one game for Bayern and has mainly been used as a substitute for the remaining 20 minutes of matches. Perhaps, Bayern’s stance may force them to give the midfielder more game time in the second half of the season.
