Following the departures of sporting CEO Oliver Mintzlaff and club technical director Christopher Vivell, new RB Leipzig managerial executive Max Eberl still has positions to fill on his administrative team. German broadcaster “Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk” reports that Eberl is prepared to bring in Rouven Schröder.
After parting company with FC Schalke 04 earlier this season, Schröder has made clear in numerous interviews that he wishes to remain active as a German footballing functionary. It remains unclear what sort of position the 47-year-old will assume on Eberl’s team. Schröder remains under contract with Schalke, meaning that the cash-strapped Königsblauen can expect some compensation from the German Red Bulls.
The report suggests that Schröder will be introduced soon.
