Atlético Madrid travel to Valencia to face Levante at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia in the round of last 16 of the Copa del Rey later today.
Having been knocked out from all European competitions in the autumn and due to their poor performance in La Liga, the Copa del Rey is the only piece of silverware that Los Colchoneros can realistically win this season. Thus, Diego Simeone is not expected to make many changes to the team that drew against Almería over the weekend.
Álvaro Morata will most likely lead the forwards’ line, while Stefan Savić will probably return to the starting XI as his suspension is only valid for La Liga.
Predicted Atlético Madrid lineup against Levante
AS predict that Diego Simeone will field the following starting XI against Levante: Jan Oblak – Nahuel Molina, Stefan Savić, Mario Hermoso, Reinildo Mandava – Marcos Llorente, Rodrigo De Paul, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Pablo Barrios, Antoine Griezmann – Álvaro Morata.
The match is set to kick off at 9 pm local time.
