France international midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is one step away from becoming a Real Madrid player, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The deal between Real Madrid and Monaco has been finalised and Tchouaméni will complete the final part of his medical after the game between France and Croatia on Monday.
Tchouaméni, 22, will join the European champions from Monaco, who he joined from Bordeaux in 2020. A highly-rated player, he will add quality to Carlo Ancelotti’s central midfield options.
Antonio Rüdiger recently became Madrid’s first signing ahead of the 2022-23 season and Tchouaméni will be Los Blancos’ second acquisition after he turned down offers from PSG and Liverpool.
PSG were interested but the player wanted to leave France and Madrid was his first choice.
The deal is set to be worth over €100m.
