Serie A outfit Salernitana are unlikely to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr this month.
Sarr has not been a regular for the Lilywhites under Antonio Conte this season but the Italian’s faith in the midfielder has increased in the last few games. Salernitana have been linked with the ex-Metz player in recent days.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Sarr’s signing is a ‘dream’ for the Salerno-based outfit and Salernitana have given Spurs 48 hours to respond to their offers for the 20-year-old Senegal man. As things stand though, the possibility of Sarr leaving the Premier League outfit this month is rather remote and it is unlikely that Salernitana sign him.
Sarr had joined Spurs from Metz in the summer of 2021 but he had spent the previous season on loan at the Ligue 1 outfit. He has made two Premier League appearances this season and started for Spurs in their FA Cup win over Portsmouth at the weekend.
