Milan have gradually grown irritated with the Sven Botman deal. Having agreed to a personal contract with the player, the Rossoneri are waiting for an answer from Lille.
According to journalist Daniele Longo (via Calciomercato), Milan continue to make contact with the intermediaries to understand the intention of Lille. The Rossoneri’s technical director Paolo Maldini wants to land the defender this summer and has already submitted a bid of around €30million plus various bonuses.
But the report claims that Lille await an intense bidding war among the suitors for Botman. Apart from Milan, clubs such as Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in the Dutchman.
Newcastle have also agreed to pay a higher valuation than what has been offered by Milan. But, the Premier League club intends to pay that amount in several instalments, amortising the total figure.
The 22-year-old has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Rossoneri. It is believed that he will earn €3million per season in an initial five-year contract at Milan.
Maldini is hoping for a quick response and also wants Botman to force an exit from the French club in the summer. However, Botman appears to be in no hurry and will evaluate all offers before making a concrete decision over his future.
