Report: Man United target Schick

Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes has provided an update on Patrik Schick, who has been sidelined with an adductor injury since November.
“He’s working hard and intensively to make sure he’s not only healthy, but also fit. He is taking small steps forward,” Rolfes told Bild.

“We’re counting on seeing what Patrik can do again in the second half of the season,” he continued.

Former managing director for sport Rudi Völler spoke in the same vein.

“All of us at the club are looking forward to seeing Patrik back on the pitch playing and celebrating. Because it’s clear: We need Patrik and his goals,” Völler said.

After scoring 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga games last season, the Czech international has found the net just two times in 11 league matches this term.
