According to Kicker and reports in Poland, Greek side Panathinaikos are interested in Union Berlin’s Tymoteusz Puchacz (23).
The left-sided defender has been a backup player for the majority of this season and has only featured in one Bundesliga for the irons so far. It’s reported that the Greek side would be interested in a loan move with an option-to-buy clause.
Despite this, a move isn’t likely to happen until after January 12th at least. This is because Union head coach Urs Fischer wants to look at all players in training before making any decisions on outgoings.
Panathinaikos are certainly in the market for a left defender as Cristian Ganea is out for the remainder of the season due to Covid 19 complications.
Union Berlin are having another splendid season under Urs Fischer and are still competing at the top of the Bundesliga as well as in European competition. It’s unknown if Union will be busy or not in this transfer window.
