According to Kicker, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg have all sent scouts to watch Immanuel Pherai of Eintracht Braunschweig during the first half of the season.
Pherai has missed the last four games of the year for Braunschweig with a muscular injury but is making progress. He has his eyes set on a return for Braunschweig’s first match of the year against Hamburg. The Dutch international has four goals and three assists in 12 appearances for Eintracht.
The 21-year-old has a release clause in his contract that is under €1m and can be activated in the summer. Which is a positive for Braunschweig as it makes a January transfer unlikely.
Pherai joined Braunschweig from Borussia Dortmund II on a free transfer in the summer and signed a contract that expires in 2024. He has a current market value of €2m.
Braunschweig currently find themselves 14th in the 2. Bundesliga and are only one point off of the relegation places. They ended the year having not won a game since beating Magdeburg 2-0 in mid-October.
