RB Leipzig are still fighting to keep Konrad Laimer, who has just one year left on his current deal.
The Austrian midfielder, however, is leaning towards a transfer and sees Bayern München as his “desired destination”, according to Bild.
Bild further reports that Laimer has a €35 million release clause in his contract, which is active until the end of June, with interested clubs currently waiting for it to expire as they look to sign him for a lower fee.
Laimer himself recently indicated that a move could be on the cards for him, telling reporters:
“It’s quite possible that I won’t be playing in Leipzig next season.
“It’s a phase, where I think about my future. I’m focusing on the national team now. After that I will sit down and talk to the people closest to me and see what is the best possible next step for me.
“I’m taking my time because it’s a very important decision.”
