Liverpool are losing interest in signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, report Marca.
The England international has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital for the last couple of months and it seemed as though Real Madrid would have to beat Liverpool to secure the services of Bellingham.
However, the Premier League side have set their eyes on Enzo Fernández instead. The Argentine has a release clause of €90m at Benfica, which is significantly lower than Bellingham’s €150m.
Even if Liverpool choose not to pursue the 19-year-old, a question mark remains over whether Los Blancos will be willing to pay his release clause.
The highest fee paid by Real Madrid for a player is €115m for Eden Hazard – €35m less than Bellingham’s price tag.
Nonetheless, Bellingham would be a useful addition to the Real Madrid squad and he could become Luka Modrić’s and Toni Kroos’ long-term replacements.
