Barcelona are not planning to make any major purchases and sales in the January transfer window, report AS.
The Catalan outfit are in a difficult financial position due to the strict Financial Fair Play Regulations imposed by La Liga. This means that they have very little wiggle room to make new signings in the new year.
Barcelona were facing an injury crisis earlier in the season, which meant that several key players were unavailable during the autumn. However, the international break has given these individuals time to recover and will be like new signings when they return to the matchday squad in January.
Ronald Araújo is set to be available to play in the new year, while Sergio Roberto, who can comfortably play both in midfield and defence, is on course to recover from a shoulder injury.
Even though Memphis Depay has been linked with a move away from Barcelona over the last couple of months, he is predicted to stay at the Nou Camp until at least the summer following the suspension picked by Robert Lewandowski.
