Life at Sevilla is not going as Isco would have liked. The former Real Madrid playmaker signed for two seasons under Julen Lopetegui but the departure of the Basque coach and Sevilla’s poor results have negatively impacted his return to Andalusia.
According to Relevo, Isco let club sporting director Monchi know that he was at Sevilla at Lopetegui’s request, not because Monchi himself wanted to sign him.
Relevo report that Isco had a heated argument with Monchi this week during a conversation with the squad at the club’s training ground.
Current head coach Jorge Sampaoli tried to find a place in his eleven for Isco, a player he held in high regard, but the reality is different. Isco has not made the difference he was expected to.
Sampaoli didn’t include the former Spain international in his squad for the friendly against Monaco on Wednesday.
So far, the 30-year-old has played 19 games this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
A move in January is not being ruled out.
